  • The Facilities Maintenance Technician supports the overall goal of maintaining a neat, clean and comfortable work environment  
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC package units, split systems, air handlers, exhaust fans, computer room units and refrigeration units as well as chillers
  • Preventive and corrective maintenance on non- process equipment.
  • Perform and/or assist in performing troubleshooting and diagnostic analysis on utility and process equipment and systems
  • Follow job procedures and maintain work area in a safe, organized manner
  • Abide by all company and departmental policies and expectations
  • Remain current in field and continuously improve through various means such as continuing education, professional journals, seminars, on-line research, etc.
  • Maintenance and repair of plant utility equipment and systems in a biopharmaceutical research environment requires the individual to oversee personnel regarding the operation and maintenance of the various central utility systems at West Chester Site.  
  • Order to coordinate work requests and manage the work processes related to maintaining the overall appearance, functionality and operation of the facilities under their responsibility  
  • Maintain an inventory of critical spare parts for the equipment that they are responsible for (HVAC)
  • Maintain site refrigerant log
  • Use Teva provided laptop and cell phone and become proficient with CMMS system
  • Wear Teva provided work clothes and boots
Your experience and qualifications

 

  • Education Required: Universal EPA Certification
  • Experience Required: minimum of 5 years operating, maintaining and repairing utility systems including HVAC(steam and electrical)
  • Must have the ability to think critically and accept responsibility for assignments
  • Required to participate in on-call rotation and work extended hours when necessary
  • Must be willing to learn the basic operation of the Siemen BMS system 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word and Excel required  
  • Exhibits good oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Capability to work on all facility related equipment or systems alone or with the assistance of a contract staff member
  • Must not be afraid of heights and have ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Required to read, understand and work from Standard Operating Procedures and P&ID’s
  • Availability to work in a non-smoking environment
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
