The opportunity

Position Summary
DEA Compliance Analyst completes records and reports relating to the storage, processing, documentation, reconciliation, distribution and reporting of controlled substances under the direction of the Manager.  

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with the applicable Federal Regulations during the storage and distribution of controlled substances through the completion of records and reports including DEA-222 Forms, ARCOS Reports, Biennial Inventories, and Year End Reports in accordance with federal & state regulations, and corporate standard operating procedures.
  • Conducts random audits and review of controlled substance inventories as directed by management.
  • Assist with DEA training programs as necessary.  
  • Assist with loss or theft investigation of controlled substances.
  • Facilitates the collection, labeling, auditing, storage, security, transportation, and destruction of all controlled substance waste.
  • Reviews DEA-related SOPs as directed by management.
  • Provides compliance guidance to other business units using applicable regulations and SOP’s.
  • Supports audits, investigations and ensures accurate and timely completion of reports.
  • Responsible for assisting Manager in applying a proactive anti-diversion program.
Your experience and qualifications

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in a pharmaceutical environment or combination of equivalent education and experience
  • Demonstrated ability with computer software programs (Microsoft Suite applications)
  • Demonstrates an understanding of the business and manufacturing process flow.
  • Must demonstrate effective written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to prepare timely, accurate, detailed, and concise reports as requested.

 

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 1-3 years experience in DEA compliance
