The Department of Information Systems at the Universidad de Ingeniería y Tecnología - UTEC , Lima, Peru, invites applications for a full-time professor and researcher in Information Systems.
Once hired, the successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses at the undergraduate level, obtain competitive external funding, establish an effervescent cross-disciplinary research program, and contribute through service to the profession, to the department, and to UTEC. Applicants with a strong scholarly background are encouraged to apply.
Minimum requirements:
- A Ph.D. or Master's Degree in Human-Computer Interaction is required;
- Experience in writing publications in journals;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body;
- Excellent English language skills (Spanish is a plus).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience teaching classes;
- Grant proposal writing experience;
- Demonstrated interest in working with academic and/or community partners;
- Experience conducting research on wearable technology is desirable, but not exclusive.
