Job Requirements

Role:

The Financial Analyst is responsible for detailed analysis of business drivers for Forecast, Plan and Closing deliverables.

The role will include focus on Expense Management as well as Business Partnering role with one of the Chubb COG Lines of Business (P&C, A&H or Personal Lines).


Expense Management Responsibilities:

  • Lead and prepare detailed expense reviews of the Latin America expenses, including analysis of Forecast and US GAAP results, as well as coordinating with both local and regional finance/ business partners to ensure requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Develop, and distribute tools, templates and dashboards to regional FP&A team and countries for planning and reporting purposes. Train finance teams on expense analysis and use of tools.
  • Provide variance reports vs. Plan, prior Forecast and Prior Year and summarize key drivers. Produce expense narratives and Executive Summaries to communicate to regional and global management status of the region's expenses vs. targets.
  • Prepare presentations and lead meetings for various closing, quarterly forecasts, and annual plan cycles. Provide accurate and timely financial information so informed business decisions can be made. Also, proactively challenge the numbers to ensure the output to senior management is robust.
  • Lead and/or actively participate in all regional plan meetings and reviews and the preparation of regional presentations and exhibits.
  • Support the Regional Marketing Department on the development of Marketing Budge and tracking of Regional Marketing Expenses.
  • Lead regional ad hoc expense projects and present conclusions to regional and global management.

Business Partnering Responsibilities:

  • Develop and prepare analytical tools to be used in the Forecast, Plan or Closing process to review and validate financial projections or results.
  • Analyze the financial projections or results and challenge the Country Teams and / or Regional Line Managers on business drivers and assumptions during Plan, Forecast and Closing reviews.
  • Prepare and produce summaries of business drivers to be used in Regional reviews with the CFO and CEO and participate in the meetings.
  • Prepare and produce executive reports for Regional and Home Office Management.
Work Experience

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or related field, MBA a plus
  • Prior experience in FP&A or Finance related roles, preferably in Insurance
  • Highly motivated individual who can manage through multiple competing priorities Flexible, teamoriented approach to issues and strong team building skills.
  • Fully Bilingual English / Spanish. Portuguese a plus.
