What we're looking for:
As a Senior Software Engineer (Flutter), you will play a crucial role in developing high-quality mobile applications for clients.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Providing daily standups to clients.
- Participating in and providing insights in various meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
- Reviewing and fixing issues in the latest build.
- Designing prototypes for client projects.
- Making changes in the user interface based on client requirements or Statement of Work (SOW).
- Reviewing project codebases.
Your expertise in Flutter development and attention to detail will contribute to the successful delivery of client projects.
Responsibilities:
- Provide clients with daily standups:
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, discuss challenges, and address any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are on track.
- Attend and provide insights in 1 on 1 meetings:
- Participate in 1 on 1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers to gather requirements, provide updates, and offer insights from a technical perspective.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to align project goals, prioritize tasks, and address any technical issues or considerations.
- Review and fix issues in the latest build:
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of the Android application to identify and resolve any functional or performance issues.
- Work closely with the development team to implement fixes and ensure a stable and reliable application.
- Design prototypes for client projects:
- Collaborate with designers, clients, and stakeholders to create user interface prototypes for Android applications.
- Incorporate client feedback and iterate on the designs to ensure an optimal user experience.
- Perform changes in the user interface according to clients/SOW needs:
- Modify the user interface of Android applications based on client requirements or the defined Statement of Work (SOW).
- Ensure consistency, usability, and adherence to best practices in UI/UX design.
- Conduct code reviews to assess the quality, readability, and maintainability of the Android application codebase.
- Provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements to optimize code performance and maintainability.
- Optional: UpSkill in front end related frameworks.
- Designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and deploying software in the Flutter framework and Dart language.
- Developing user interface components and implementing them by following well-known Flutter / Dart workflows and practices.
- Communicating with product and engineering leads to implement business and project objectives.
- Code review of team members' commits as part of CI/CD cycle.
- Participate in testing, quality assurance and bug fixes as part of the CI/CD cycle.
Qualifications:
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- 3 to 6 years of experience developing mobile apps natively in iOS and/or Android.
- 4 years of commercial experience developing and delivering Flutter based apps.
- Good understanding of state management, Flutter flavors and app architecture.
- Strong communications and consultative skills. Self-initiated and proactive.
- Experience in a remote software development environment.
- Experience with building apps and software for consumer goods is a bonus.
- Degree in software engineering, computer science, or software development is a plus.
- Nice to haves: Firebase, Azure DevOps, PWA (Progressive Web Apps).
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
