HVAC Technician Instructor - FT- PAS

Charter College, a fast-growing career college is now adding additional HVAC classes at our campus We are seeking enthusiastic instructors to help teach in our popular HVAC program at our Pasco, WA campus.

We are looking for a Full-Time HVAC Instructor who has the commitment and drive to help students achieve their dreams.

Duties And Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare and provide all lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum.
  2. Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms for the program and/or develop such when indicated by the President.
  3. Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events.
  4. Monitor student attendance and retention and document as required by the administration.
  5. Grading assignments, returning graded assignments to students, and assigning final grades for all students in a timely manner.
  6. Provide educational assistance to students during regularly scheduled times (i.e., office hours) or by appointment.
  7. Substitute in classes when necessary.
  8. Advise students as it relates to school policies, satisfactory performance, etc. Maintain communication with the Dean of Education regarding such activity.
  9. Submit in writing current textbook, supply, and equipment needs to the Dean of Education.
  10. Monitor all equipment and supply inventory in locked facilities.
  11. Secure consumable supplies as well as educational materials from the administrative office when needed.
  12. Maintain a professional appearance.
  13. Communicate with the Dean of Education on all issues related to students.
  14. Maintain professional expertise (faculty development) to meet accreditation standards by attending educational seminars in the professional field, reading current literature, attending online courses, etc.
  15. Ensure that students follow the catalog guidelines daily.
  16. Attend all scheduled mandatory meetings.
  17. Serve on committees (e.g., curriculum development, retention, etc) as assigned based on expertise or campus needs.
  18. Perform other duties as required.
Hours/Schedule:
  1. Full Time
  2. Hourly Non-Exempt
  3. Day and Night Class Availability Needed
  4. $26.44 to $28.84
Qualifications:
  1. Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years field experience.
  2. HVAC certification preferred.
  3. Preference will go to those who are experienced instructors.
