Lycopodium Peru is currently recruiting for a Checker to join our growing team in Lima.

Reporting to the Principal Designer:

The Checker is responsible for ensuring all drawings within their discipline are completed in accordance with project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards, and company procedures. The Checker ensures that the drawings are consistent and of high quality, and that they adhere to schedule and budget.

The tasks you'll perform

Deliver design drawings that are compliant with project, client, and regulatory requirements.
Manage their work within project schedules and man-hour budgets.
Ensure all drawings consider constructability, maintainability, and safety.
Maintain effective communication with engineering and design teams.
Follow the company checking procedures within assigned projects.
Coordinate with all contributing parties to ensure comments are captured and resolved appropriately.
Verify drawings against project 3D models.
Review interfaces with other disciplines and vendor equipment drawings.
Report progress and potential risks to project Lead Designers.

The expertise you'll bring

Diploma or Degree in Engineering Design Drafting, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
+15 years experience in discipline specific design for mineral processing or heavy industrial plants.
Proven experience of checking in EPCM projects.
Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenPlant, or equivalent plant design software.
Strong understanding of discipline-specific design standards and plant layout integration.

Entregar planos de diseño que cumplan con los requisitos del proyecto, del cliente y de la normativa.
Gestionar tu trabajo dentro de los plazos del proyecto y los presupuestos de horas de trabajo.
Garantizar que todos los planos tengan en cuenta la constructibilidad, el mantenimiento y la seguridad.
Mantener una comunicación eficaz con los equipos de ingeniería y diseño.
