**About the Longitudinal Landscape in Peru**

The Longitudinal Landscape area is a biodiversity hotspot that contains six critical protected areas. It has been a focus area for agricultural development in recent years, resulting in 2 million ha of forest loss between 2001 and 2018 and various active social conflicts. At Earthworm, we use the landscape approach to leverage the influence of value chain actors (suppliers, brands, producers) to drive change and transformation that create value for all, especially for farmers, communities and the environment. The landscape approach also encourages the national and local authorities to implement policies related to land use development planning (e.g. micro zoning) and sustainable livelihoods. We work with various raw materials such as palm oil, cocoa, and wood production with reforestation across the landscape.

**Your Role**

As **Project **Manager** in Peru, your day will be primarily focused on:

- Actively contribute to the country and organizational goals with strong strategic vision and ability to approach projects in a holistic/systemic way. Also, collaborate with companies, NGO’s and internal teams to develop our approaches into clear compelling solutions that industry can adopt;
- Identify companies and commodities that present opportunities to increase our impact on responsible commodity production in Peru;
- Develop relationships with prospective members and other stakeholders, creating proposals, negotiating contracts and growing our membership and partnership base in Peru;
- Conduct field visits to agriculture, forestry, and mining companies in support of better environment, social and labor practices;
- Develop learner-centered workshops in support of better environmental, social and labor practices;
- Coordinate with partners and other project actors;
- Support development of tools and process for our global work in palm oil, cocoa and other commodities.

**Your Profile**

Passionnate about sustainability, no-deforestation and social responsibility matters you want to contribute your skills and expertise to drive the transformation of supply chains and ultimately have a positive impact on Nature and People. Hands-on practical, innovative with initiative and a can-do attitude you thrive on human relationships and are able to explain your field to a variety of audiences.

With demonstrated experience in working with businesses, ideally in the manufacturing, agriculture or forestry sectors you are very knowledgeable about supply chain management, procurement, quality control, environmental management, social impact, or labor relations in the sector.

Being collaborative, organized and autonomous, you enjoy working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environments, where colleagues are located across the globe and tasks can be very diverse. Thanks to your excellent communication skills both verbal and written you naturally lead relationships with existing Members/Partners with ease and a sense of purpose.

Analytical, detailed oriented and showing great ability to analyze systems, identify key issues and risks and possible solutions forward you are a great asset for your team. You are also versed in managing complex projects and available for field trips, as well as engaging with customers, members and suppliers.
- Degree in business management, forestry, rural development, environment, sociology/anthropology, or agriculture (preferable)
- 5 years of experience minimum
- Full-time, permanent contract
- Immediate start or asap
- Based in Lima, Peru (regular field trips to be expected)
- Fluent in Spanish & English
- Citizenship or valid work permit required
