**Accountant & Bookkeeper Job Description**

Duties and responsibilities include providing bookkeeping and accounting support to ensure efficient operation of the company and real estate investments. You will make sure that all accounting duties are completed accurately and delivered with high quality and in a timely manner.

**Responsibilities May Include**:

- Reconcile all company and property bank accounts monthly.
- Prepare monthly financial reports for company and investment properties.
- Review invoices with team to ensure accuracy and implement control of expenses.
- Prepare payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
- Manage and pay all utility accounts.
- Handle any and all matters relating to bill payments, including calling customer support when needed.
- Maintain tenant ledgers as needed, and assist team in correctly posting financial transactions.
- Ensure all fees are posted and collected from owners and tenants.
- Set up accounting for all new properties and associations as they are added to our company.
- Assist team with creating systems and procedures for bookkeeping activities.
- Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
- Document financial transactions by entering account information.
- Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
- Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.
- Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents.
- Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
- Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
- Secure financial information by completing data base backups.
- Maintain financial security by following internal controls.
- Answer accounting procedure questions.
- Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
- Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
- Communicate with team as needed to clarify expenditures, checks deposited, etc.
- Meet with CPA to review and assist in tax preparation for companies managed.

**Expectations**
- Available to take calls and handle key responsibilities during typical business hours, 8am-5pm, M-F.
- Attendance at weekly team meetings
- Weekly one-on-one accountability meeting with supervisor
- Must be detail-oriented, responsive, responsible, a team player, a problem solver, and have a desire to learn and grow with our business.
- Fluent in English with strong writing skills.
