Network Technician - IT - 6 Month Contract (+ extensions) - Lima

This is a long term contract opportunity for a Network Technician, working fully remotely on EST time zone hours, preferably based in South America (Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru). You will work with minimum supervision but will be expected to communicate regularly with colleagues and team leaders as you help resolve network-related issues and customer network requests. This role will start in January 2023 following a single stage Teams interview process.

**Network Technician Responsibilities**:
participate in the design, administration, and operations of network services,
provide network support and deal with network-related incidents, problems, and user requests resolution
support network devices including new installations and upgrades
carry out preventive network tasks (including window maintenance)
review network equipment logs and alerts, and perform any corrective actions
provide “stand-by” support outside business hours when required
perform other duties when required

**About you**:
networking switching techniques and networking security techniques

**Catalyst switches**: (Cisco IOS): Stacking, VSS and HA, STP, HSRP, dynamic routing, QoS, Netflow, VRF-aware features, 802.1x, port protection

**Cisco ISR/ASR Routers**: OSPF, BGP, NAT, Netflow, QoS, VRF-aware features, site-to-site VPN, BFD, PBR
TACACS and RADIUS based network admin access control
Cisco Wireless Controllers
Cisco ASA and Firepower Firewalls

**Checkpoint Firewalls (ClusterXL)**:
F5 Application Delivery Controllers (LTM)
Linux
Azure and AWS
Cisco CCNP Enterprise or equivalent / CheckPoint CCSA / CCSE
If selected, you'll join a fantastic group of network and other technical professionals working for a global organisation. The majority of personnel are located in Europe, but the client has end customers in the EST timezone which is why you will be an integral member of the team.
