This position is full-time and permanent, after passing the legal period of probation (three months). The position is set at the Solidarity Center’s Peru office and the person in this job often is required to work full-time at the office.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Finance & Accounting**:

- Maintain and update the general and project accounting records and files.
- Prepare payroll, tax, social security, and other forms.
- Review billings/statements/invoices, advance requests, and advance liquidation documents.
- Undertake accounting functions including payment vouchers, checks, deposits, bank

reconciliations, and relevant data entry.
- Accurately record financial transactions into QuickBooks accounting software and

maintain appropriate supporting documentation.
- Prepare annual work plan budgets and monitor spending against the approved budgets.
- Regularly update the Program Director for the Andes on spending rates and status of

projects.
- Control the petty cash fund and cash flow for the field office.
- Help maintain local office bank accounts including opening/closing accounts and

maintaining relationships with the bank.

**Procurement**:

- Manage the procurement process for office goods and services.
- Support the program team by arranging conferences, training sessions, meetings, etc.
- Support the program team with work-related travel arrangements, including hotel bookings, plane tickets, car rentals, etc.
- Work with partners and assist in reviewing/overseeing budgets, spending, and reports.

**Administration**:

- Conduct annual inventory of office equipment.
- Ensure maintenance of office equipment.
- Assist with office correspondence, mailing, and filing as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration or other related fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years accounting experience
- Familiarity with U.S. government and/or other donor rules and
- Excellent communication
- Fluent in spoken and written English (preferable).
- Computer literate, especially in
- Familiarity with relevant government laws, regulations, and reporting requirements for Ecuador and Peru. Interest in labor rights and Human Rights work in

**Principales responsabilidades
**Finanzas y Contabilidad**:

- Mantener y actualizar los registros y archivos contables generales y de
- Preparar formularios de nómina, impuestos, seguridad social y
- Revisión de facturas/estados de cuenta/facturas, solicitud anticipada y documentos de liquidación anticipada.
