**DUTIES**:
Incumbent serves as a senior LE STAFF-Investigator for the office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) at post.

Job holder is considered an expert on host country’s criminal laws and government structure as well as on the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS/HSI) international policies and regulations and is expected to provide testimony in criminal and administrative proceedings. Incumbent serves as an advisor of DHS executive orders and policies to DHS’s 22 agencies, HSI special agents and host government officials. Job holder assists, plans, and conducts complex & sensitive investigations of transnational criminal investigations involved in cultural property and antiquities crimes, intellectual property rights violations, human smuggling and trafficking, money laundering, arms trafficking, child exploitation, customs fraud, identity and benefit fraud, transnational gangs, cyber-crimes, counter-proliferation and narcotic smuggling and terrorism. In addition, incumbent conducts civil and immigration administrative investigations.

**EXPERIENCE**:
At least five (5) years combined working in a professional capacity in a related field within the Government of Peru or the U.S. government, or experience working in conjunction with the U.S. or Peru government in the field(s) of criminal justice, security, criminal investigations, document issuance and identification, U.S. consular operations, U.S. military or law enforcement, or court processes with emphasis on technical, analytical or procedural investigations and/or applied operations with a concept of needs focused on identification, interception, interruption, or denial of criminal activities.

Must have at least five years of driving experience.

**EDUCATION**:
University degree in criminal justice, law, finance/accounting, education, applied sciences, or management, or an equivalent degree from a police or military academy is required.
