Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Designer to join our growing team in Lima, Peru.

Reporting to the Principal Designer the Mechanical Designer will produce high quality, cost effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings. The draftsperson will, in general, work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Project Lead Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.

**The tasks you'll perform**
- Be proficient in all aspects of 3D MicroStation software (and preferably Aecosim or Triforma) and to use those skills within the Lycopodium defined CAD procedures.
- Be proficient in the detailing of materials handling and mine plant design in their nominated discipline.
- Produce design drawings that are consistent industry standard techniques and that comply to Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
- Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be capable of producing design drawings within the project defined budget hours for the defined deliverable document.
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.

**The expertise you'll bring**
- Proficiency in 3D Microstation software.
- An approved diploma qualification in Engineering Design Drafting of their discipline or directly related industry experience of 5 years.
- English language speaking, reading and writing.
- Proficiency in 3D Triforma or Aecosim Software.
- Working experience with ProjectWise online file storage software.
- 5-10 years in relevant Discipline Plant Design process plant design.

El puesto requiere elaborar diseños 3D de detalle y planos de disposición general de alta calidad y rentables. En general, el dibujante trabajará bajo la supervisión del Diseñador Principal, el Diseñador Jefe de Proyecto, el Ingeniero Jefe de Diseño de Disciplina o el Ingeniero Jefe de Proyecto.

**Objetivos del cargo**:
El dibujante proyectista mostrará las siguientes habilidades:

- Tener dominio en todos los aspectos del software MicroStation 3D (y preferiblemente Aecosim o Triforma) y utilizar esas habilidades dentro de los procedimientos CAD definidos por Lycopodium.
- Tener dominio en el detallado de la manipulación de materiales y diseño de plantas mineras en su disciplina designada.
- Elaborar dibujos de diseño acorde a las técnicas estándar de la industria y que cumplan con los procedimientos CAD y de la oficina de diseño de Lycopodium.
- Demostrar la capacidad de trabajar en equipo y tener buenas habilidades de comunicación e interpersonales.
- Ser capaz de elaborar planos de diseño dentro del presupuesto de horas definido en el proyecto para el documento entregable definido.
- Demostrar una comprensión sólida de las técnicas de fabricación y construcción.
- Demostrar un compromiso con el desarrollo profesional continuo.

**Conocimientos, habilidades y aptitudes**:
**_ Esenciales_**
- Dominio del software Microstation 3D.
- Títulado en dibujo de diseño técnico de su disciplina o experiência relevante en la industria de 5 años.

**_ Deseables_**
- Dominio oral, lector y escrito del idioma inglés.
- Dominio del software 3D Triforma o Aecosim.
- Experiência laboral con el software de almacenamiento de archivos en línea ProjectWise.
- 5-10 años en diseño de plantas de proceso en la disciplina correspondiente.
