AWS / Principal DevOps Automation Developer

**Duties**:

- Work with a diverse team of administrators and engineers to maintain and develop AWS automation tools with good communication and documentation skills.
- Experience developing with AWS using industry-standard tools and agile/iterative methodologies
- Create and maintain automation tools for AWS multi-region services (Lambdas, Serverless, Step Functions, DynamoDB, S3 Buckets, SNS Topics, SQS Queues, IAM Permissions and Policies, EC2, RDS)
- Strong language skills with python, java, SQL, and typescript with OS level Linux and Windows experience
- Support IT operations with automation scripting experience with GitHub, Jenkins or scripting languages including (Ansible, Shell, Bash, Perl)
- Coach, train, and mentor to improve the maturity and value of the cloud practices organization
- Ensure that security best practices are a primary daily focus and that standards are maintained via testing
- Engage with business divisions to understand business processes and translate to technical requirements

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, development or related field of study OR 5+ years of related work experience. General IT operations and sysadmin experience a plus
- AWS Certified Developer Associate preferred
- Experience with Monitoring tools Icinga, Nagios, Grafana, Kibana, Elasticsearch, Logstash, Filebeat a plus
- Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients Desire to learn and engage in diverse technical environment
- Ability to be self-directed and work collaboratively with a team
- Strong knowledge of software development tools and methodologies
- Desire strong English-speaking skills with heavy focus on documentation and collaboration
- Work hours preferred is 7 AM CT - 3 PM CT (all times in U.S. Central Time Zone)
