**Position Summary**

IPA Peru has been leading field-based randomized evaluations since 2003. Our work in Peru and other Latin American and Caribbean countries is defined by strong engagement with key decision-makers and foundational research in: education, gender-based violence, social protection, financial inclusion, and health.

IPA Peru seeks a Research Analyst to assist an Educational project in Belize for a 7 months period, that includes one RCT and a video qualitative study. The RAn will work closely with a Research Associate, an Associate Research Manager and Principal Investigators of the project. For the RCT, the RAn will support design activities, and will support the preparation and face to face data baseline collection of a small sample of the first cohort. The RAn will assist questionnaire programming, data management and data analysis activities. For the Qualitative Study, the RAn will assist with the usage of quality checks and data codification. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn how to design and program data collection instruments using different software, monitor fieldwork, participate in research design, clean and analyze data, prepare presentations for different audiences, and participate in qualitative research studies. **Responsibilities**
- Test, program and pilot data collection instruments
- Monitor and support data collection activities, working with IPA tools to guarantee data quality
- Support data management and cleaning during and after fieldwork
- Assist the quantitative and qualitative research findings generation
- Develop reports and presentations about the study for different audiences in English and Spanish
- Work closely with the assigned Research Associate
- Support coordination with project partners (Principal Investigator, Ministry of Education, and others), to carry out project activities
- Work with administrative and finance staff, and/or consultants, ensuring compliance with IPA protocols across all processes
- Attend to the IPA Peru office on the assigned days and time
- Support in other tasks related to the assigned project

**Qualifications**

**Required**

Education and experience:

- Bachelor's degree in economics, psychology, sociology, or other social science disciplines

**Technical skills**:

- Familiarity with the fundamental concepts of impact evaluation
- Knowledge of the fundamental principles of statistics and econometrics
- Quantitative skills and knowledge of data management and analysis in Stata

**Communication Skills**:

- Strong written communication skills in the English and Spanish language required

**Leadership and organization skills**:

- Excellent time management and organization skills; attention to detail; ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a team and report to supervisors

**Preferred**
- At least 3 months of work experience, preferably related to research. Experience gained before graduation is accepted
- Strong oral communications skills in the English and Spanish language
- Knowledge of qualitative methodologies and tools
- Complementary training in impact evaluation or social programs, associated with economic development
