The Manufacturing Agribusiness and Services (MAS) group is one of IFC’s key Departments responsible for a significant portion of IFC’s business volume, profitability and development reach. MAS engages in a wide range of sub-sectors including health, education, housing, tourism, agriculture, animal protein, forestry, chemicals, automotive, etc.

ET Temporary to be based in Lima, Peru. ET Temporary works closely with IFC’s Investment Officers, who are responsible for the design, negotiation, structuring, and subsequent supervision of the Corporation’s investment projects.

**ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Help investment teams in transaction execution and portfolio work in MAS LAC.
- Participate in the Evaluation, structuring, negotiation, and closing of new MAS transactions, portfolio restructurings, reschedulings, capital increases, equity sales, etc.
- Develop innovative and appropriate financial structures for complex transactions.
- Participate in negotiations as appropriate; use financial competencies and personal influencing skills to overcome impasses and lead negotiations to a successful outcome.
- Work independently and with more senior staff to develop a strong pipeline of good quality investment opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, global and regional private businesses, banking and multilateral partners to develop investment opportunities.
- Coordinate closely with advisory and environmental & social teams to add value to our clients' businesses, find pragmatic solutions to the specific sector challenges, and achieve sustainable development impact.
- Collaborate with the upstream team.
- Develop relationships with WBG counterparts to facilitate access to relevant information and reports.
- Extract data from internal and external databases, manipulate and present data for various audiences, and update information in relevant databases.
- Review, screen, and prepare relevant documents and reports.
- Monitor sector, country, and macro conditions as well as social and political information that are relevant to IFC activities.
- Prepare documentation for IFC internal processes.
- Prepare routine portfolio monitoring reports and generate needed data from multiple sources.
- Gather and summarize benchmarking information that will be used to capture lessons learned.
- Assist in preparing analytical sections of country and sector strategies and client pitchbook.
- Prepare sector mapping to target potential clients and business opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of high-quality specific Upstream initiatives and interventions through research, analytical, and operational work.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (legal, ES&G, economists, and sector specialists) to answer questions on documents and analysis.
- Prepare investment or advisory committee materials, with supervision.
- Draft memos and documents for internal processing of new investments.
- Extract lessons of IFC’s earlier investments or advisory mandates and other evaluative work as relevant to provide input to the structuring of straightforward transactions.
- Perform analytical work (due diligence, financial modeling, preparation of pricing comparability data) as input to designing and considering structuring options.
- Draft memos and process simple waivers, amendments, and ESAMs based on guidance from a more senior investment officer.

- Analyze financial statements and projections, build financial models, and run sensitivities, with accountability for factual accuracy.
- Gather and summarize project, sector, and country benchmarking information to be used to capture lessons learned, with accountability for factual accuracy.
- Identify key stakeholders (government, development partners, WBG) as input to business development and client engagement planning.
- Look at prior transactions and track record with specific clients to develop input to future business possibilities.
- Perform credit and integrity risk rating assessments, covenant compliance reviews (debt), and valuations (equity), and monitor changes to risk flags for determining performance assigned to a portfolio, with supervision.
- Gather and analyze data to support assessment of project development impact.
- Prepare industry and market research as input to Country Private Sector Diagnostics.
- Research prospective client companies or governments for alignment with IFC strategic, financial, and integrity criteria.
