VSAT Commissioning Technician

**Overview of Position**:
This is a temporary position through the lifecycle of a project that involves the commissioning of several VSAT terminals (approximately 7 months in duration).

**What you will do**:

- Work a scheduled shift while providing support to Field Technicians during the install and commissioning of remote VSAT equipment.
- Utilize monitoring/reporting tools during the commissioning of remote terminals.
- Activate and configure parameters of VSAT modems in compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Utilize Speedcast’s Incident Management Tool to log and update incident and change records.
- Encompass Speedcast’s values in everyday activities

**What we need from you**:

- Equivalent industry experience of 1+ years
- Experience in Satellite Technology
- Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures
- Hands-on experience of support with remote customers
- Ability to manage workload in-line with standard operating procedures
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet critical deadlines
- Shows initiative, team player
