The Collateral Reporting Specialist provides reporting and analytical support to the Collateral Team. Performs research, analysis, review, development, implementations, and monitoring of reports to ensure the collateral security is not compromised. Compiles and analyzes information in regards to trending errors and monetary risk to make recommendations based on findings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- File, track, and manage all UCC-1 forms via UCC Software. Provide all needed items to file or clear errors.
- Release liens for paid off loans within the designated clearing timeframe.
- Manage all collateral reports in Dealertrack and iLien to ensure the collateral security is not compromised and is actively maintained.
- Prepares and maintains all other requested technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to ensure the collateral security is not compromised. Provide regular updates to leadership on Lending Support and Operations risks and accomplishments.
- Actively works closely with local and non-local DMV, third party vendors, Dealerships, and Insurance companies to perform research, and assist with specialized situations.
- Develops and distributes consolidated reporting of deficiencies through error tracking logs to Training and Business Unit leadership team to improve loan officer training.
- Responsible for maintaining inter-departmental collaborative relationships with all business units including but not limited to: Branches, Call Centers, Loan Processing, and Member Advocacy to achieve the departmental goals of the Credit Union.
- Recommends controls by identifying monetary risk potential; writing improved procedures, testing and implementing with business unit leader.
- Actively work with the Collateral Team to identify process improvements and efficiencies to reduce risk to the organization due to unperfected titles.

EDUCATIONAL AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

- High School diploma or equivalent required, associate’s degree or recent work experience preferred.
- Minimum 5 years broad based experience in collateralization of consumer loan products.
- Knowledge of consumer loan policies, procedures, products, and services preferred.
- Ability to create and manage system reporting, to include but not limited to: Dealertrack, iLien, CRM, ACES.
- Demonstrate ability with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access, along with knowledge of Lending Systems and relevant regulations.
- Ability to operate loan processing system, computer, calculator, telephone and other equipment as needed.
- Competence with use of the Internet and Credit Union Intranet.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
To perform this job successfully, the employee must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. All employees must be able to communicate face to face or through technology with or without reasonable accommodation. Employee will be in an office environment (well-lighted, heated and air-conditioned) typically stationed at a desk or table. Employee will be asked to sit and stand for various increments of time, and to lift/push up 10 lbs. Clerical office duties on various forms of technology are required. All positions that have lending responsibilities must comply with all requirements under the SAFE ACT, as well as the union’s policies and procedures related to the SAFE ACT.
