Site Manager

Job Family: Operations/Warehouse/Processing- Business Unit: Jensen Seeds- Location: FRAsteraseed’s high technicality comes from the long experience of its founders, pioneers in vegetable seed production in France. Since 2020, Asteraseed is a part of Jensen Seeds A/S, which has been a proud member of the DLF family since 2017. In 40 years Asteraseed has introduced new species and production techniques to meet the needs of their international clients.

We are currently looking for a site manager for our site based in Lasserre-de-Prouille, (approx.. 1heure from Toulouse).

The site manager’s job is to ensure the development of our production teams (12 people) so that production plans are followed out on a daily basis and that clients are delivered on time and in coherence with quality standards. He/she supervises production activity and works in close collaboration with the processing expert team and the customer service contact along with other on site contacts to meet our client’s needs.

You will have the following missions:

- Ensures the safety of production teams by defining and animating the safety policy
- Establishes with the help of production team leads short and long term production plans and adjusts the workforce accordingly
- Supports team leads in the case of difficulties meeting production objectives
- Coordinates with growers transport to follow delivery schedule.
- Secures maintenance and updating of OS platforms related to seed processing, treatment and warehouse
- Drives the maintenance strategy on-site, including machines, buildings, in
- and outside areas and for our Innovaseed site (our second site located about 10 minutes from the production facility)
- Manages the investment strategy for production activity
- Represents the company in legal and security matters regarding facility and staff

Your profile:

- You have an Engineering/Masters degree in agronomy and have previous experience in a similar position managing production teams ideally in the farming industry. You are comfortable working across functional lines and in a small company environment and you enjoy motiving and leading those around you towards a common goal.
- You are able to discuss technical matters in English without difficulties.
- You are customer driven and understand industrial processes and how to optimize them
