**Job Description**:
Our Policy & Government Affairs team collaborate with government entities and policy organizations at local and national levels. We address legislative and regulatory issues that promote the discovery and development of innovative medicines, vaccines and oncology products while improving and protecting patient access to care.

The role of the Associate Director - Policy & Communications significantly contributes to position our company as a relevant and key actor in the Peruvian health care system and to drive company reputation through health policy activities.

**Primary Activities**:

- Propose and support Policy strategy development, translation of business needs into public policy strategies with the objective to position our company as key player in the Peruvian health care environment overall planning and coordination of policy activities (policy plans) for the entire business developed specifically by TA.
- Identifying, planning and leading innovative policy activities across the relevant Business Units with focus on the therapeutic area Oncology, Vaccines and Specialties with alignment and Input on overarching cross-functional health policy positions.
- Planning and executing policy-related activities, hereunder political meetings, round table discussions, seminars and conferences. Advocacy campaigns to support patient access to medicines and shape the external public policy environment.
- Monitoring of the development of the health policy framework at national level (e.g. legislative and political initiatives) which are of relevance for the pharmaceutical industry, Government purchasing process, Health Law, IP Law among others and analysis of potential implications for our company.
- Inform and advise internally on dynamics, trends and challenges in the health policy environment. Ensure all hazards and environmental aspects in their area are identified, documented, assessed, and controlled according to EHS procedures.
- Elaboration of stakeholder management mapping and strategies; build, strengthen and sustain strategically important relationships with key stakeholders and foster new networks.
- Development of key messages from our policy plans and the approved external communications plan.
- Liaise with and represent our Company interests in industry associations, relevant networks and clusters, creating and maintaining good relationships with key interest groups such as Patients' Organizations, Think Tanks and Public Heath institutions.
- Engage with key internal leaders to inform and update on all relevant policy and regulatory developments, prepare papers, reports, position papers, and other related materials to support engagement activities and campaigns.
- Develop and implement the organization's communications strategy.

**Educational minimum required**:

- University degree (Master level) in political science, law, public health, natural sciences or degree in another relevant field.
- Fluent English.

**Experience & competencies required**:

- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in public policy. Experience in working in a political organization, preferably in a political secretariat, Parliament, ministry, governmental body, public affairs in a consulting company, Trade association, pharmaceutical company or highly complex in Government relationship sector.
- Knowledge of principles of Regulatory and Intellectual Property. Should have an excellent understanding of all relevant legislation, government processes, and policies impacting the pharmaceutical sector.
- University degree (Master level) in political science, law, public health, natural sciences or degree in another relevant field.
- Strong analytical skills and structured mindset, proven ability to analyze complex issues and to summarize quintessence.
- Strong and sound ethical platform in line with our Company’s core values.
- Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure, ambiguity and complex environments. Good prioritization skills and high ethics and integrity and ability to navigate challenging circumstances.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and manage strong partnerships and collaborations with various stakeholders as well as advise senior leadership and executives.
- Strong Business acumen, act as an effective leader and demonstrated ability to take responsibility of key organizational issues and anticipate them.
- Excellent influencing and persuasion skills with strong oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Strong language skills, both verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English. Ability to prepare talking points and concise briefing memos. Highly skilled communicator with ability to network effectively both internally and externally.
