**The Volunteer’s Role**:
Cuso International is searching for a dedicated and passionate Social Media Content Creator who is strongly committed to advocating for the rights and empowerment of women, girls, and members of the LGTBIQ community. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is enthusiastic about using their creativity and digital skills to make a positive impact in the world by amplifying the voices and stories of marginalized groups.

You will support our partner organization, DEMUS, a feminist organization dedicated to challenging the prevailing culture that perpetuates harmful systems such as machismo, heteronormativity, classism, racism, and more. They also work tirelessly to raise awareness about the violation of sexual and reproductive rights experienced by women and LGTBIQ+ individuals, and demand justice.

Becoming a volunteer means contributing to campaigns that promote the recognition and full exercise of sexual and reproductive rights. These campaigns are spread across various platforms including Somos2074, Caso Manta, #DecidirSinCulpa, #IgualdadDeGéneroYA, Defensoras no están solas, Justicia Arcoíris, and others.

**As a volunteer, you will**:

- Stay updated on news and/or current events to create engaging content for campaigns and strengthen the institutional positioning.
- Create and develop audiovisual material to enhance campaigns and evaluate communication materials for campaigns according to milestones and/or key dates.
- Monitor and oversee campaigns on multiple social media platforms.
- Ensure accurate data integration from reports and communication contracts for campaign analysis, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Develop success case stories on Demus campaigns and collaborate with Cuso and GAC to enhance the impact and promotion of Demus activities and provide assistance in implementing campaign strategies.

**Essential Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in communication, journalism, marketing or related fields
- Having work experience and/or studies related to feminism, gender, and human rights is considered valuable.
- Proficiency in using audiovisual tools such as Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Premiere at a basic to intermediate level

**Essential Background**:

- Developing and implementing strategies for communication, marketing, and/or branding.
- Strong writing and editing skills for reports and publications, as well as exceptional organization skills for assigned activities.
- Understanding of and dedication to gender equality is an asset
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple campaigns concurrently.

**Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)**

Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

DEMUS is a feminist organization that fights for human rights, in particular, the sexual and reproductive rights of women to promote the free exercise and questioning of the hegemonic paradigm on women and their sexuality.
