**Education**:Bachelor Degree

**Experience**:5-10 years in industry

**Knowledge**:of GET product line and familiarity with competitive products, service tooling, repair practices, product user practices, dealer service capabilities.

**Behaviors**:Problem solving capability, CPI experience, effective communications skills, failure analysis and metallurgy familiarity, credibility, persuasiveness and high stress tolerance are required.

Job Duties:
There are currently several Product Service Engineers centrally located in the GET product group and they generally have worldwide accountability for monitoring the overall product performance (including reliability, durability, serviceability) and issue resolution of their assigned current and future product. This specific job role/posting will be a regionally focused, hybrid role focusing primarily on GET product support, but also providing critical regional support as needed for validation or product/supplier quality.

The incumbent for this position will have primary responsibility for product support for all GET products in the Latin America region, particularly Mexico, Central and South America. Incumbent will collaborate closely with other GET Service Engineers (assigned by product line) for the respective product problems being worked.

In this role the incumbent will identify, investigate and obtain resolution for all field problems to maintain/improve GET product performance. Problem identification involves reports in all forms from dealers, reps and subsidiaries and from field trips (approx. 20-40% of the time). Problem investigation involves statistical analyses, visual and metallurgical analysis of returned parts, development of quick field fixes. This role also involves collaborating closely with GET product group Engineering and Manufacturing teams for potential design or manufacturing improvements, etc. Incumbent will also have responsibility for support of regional dealer inquiries that come through the PSCRM system (e.g. DSN and Parts Tech requests). This position will also have responsibilities for participating and in some cases leading CPI projects. As part of issue containment & resolution activities the service engineer will drive any needed containment and local inspections of parts to help protect customers and dealers while supporting local part availability. Dealer and customer visits will likely be conducted to personally provide expert technical assistance on urgent field problems.

This position may also be called upon to help facilitate validation testing or field follow programs to evaluate overall customer acceptance of new product within the respective region. Incumbents may also participate in machine/bucket/site conversion or startup activities including assisting with installation or training on GET products and their proper use.

The Service Engineer helps reduce warranty cost and customer impact of field product problems by initiating, developing and cost justifying field rework programs and product support programs. The incumbent initiates service publications to announce significant product improvements (via Service Magazine) and temporary field fix information (via Tech Info Bulletin). Parts Stock Authorization letters are issued to meet abnormal demands due to new field problems.
