Distillery Road Market is looking for a motivated, passionate, energetic, and experienced Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our growing team working across a variety of our onsite venues. Situated half-way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, DRM is the region’s newest food and entertainment hub, boasting weekend markets, events, functions and live entertainment, trading Thursday - Sunday every week. DRM is home to Perentie Brewing Co, housing the Perentie Kitchen, Brewery and Beer Garden as well as multiple specialty bars and food venues, including Sugar Creek Smokehouse, Posadas Mexican Kitchen, Wing It, Slice It Pizza, with more to come, as well as an expansive Outdoor Entertainment space and indoor Market Hall. About the Role The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager role is hands‑on, assisting with the day-to-day running of the venues within the precinct. The role works across all aspects of food and beverage service with a focus on exceptional customer experiences. Key responsibilities - Overseeing all Food and Beverage operations, including managing a team of skilled bartenders, chefs and food attendants - Assisting the Food and Beverage Manager and Head Chef with Food Venue operations - Ensuring delivery of the highest quality service, product & presentation at all times - Ensuring that hygiene, health, safety, and security rules are adhered to at all times - The responsible service of alcohol - Overseeing POS and ordering systems - Process and procedure development - Roster and timesheet management - Operational and sales reporting - Budget, cost efficiency and stock management - Employee training and development - Employee health, safety monitoring and reporting Required skills and experience - A strong food and beverage background with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role - A current RMLV certificate - Highly developed knowledge of hospitality best practice methods, procedures and workplace health and safety - Availability to work weekends and public holidays - Proven ability to lead and motivate team members - Proven time management and organisational skills - Flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing environments - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills What we offer Our mission is to ignite inspiration, create memories and connect people by delivering lasting memories and lifelong experiences. - A 5 day working week, operating from Wednesday to Sunday - A vibrant and engaging atmosphere - Opportunities for growth, training, skills development and advancement - Delicious food, events and functions to be apart of - Variety, flexibility and work life balance - Teamwork, collaboration and camaraderie If you’re ready to join our exciting team and make your mark on our DRM events and experiences, click the apply button to submit your application along with your CV and cover letter addressing the desired skills and experience for this role.
