Responsibilities - Independent design and engineering of a PMSM with high torque and low and/or high rotational speeds for underground cutting machines - Development of modular rotor and stator packages (segmentation, standardization) - Selection and engineering of key components such as magnets, motor flanges, bearings, and terminal boxes based on modular design principles - Ensuring compliance with efficiency, compactness, and safety requirements - Contribution to the creation of technical specifications and documentation - Support in overall concept development and related feasibility studies Qualifications - Degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical field - Several years of proven experience in the design of electrical machines, ideally PMSM - Strong background in modular design principles and series production requirements - Expertise in the application of variable frequency drives (VFD) and their interaction with PMSM - Experience with EX certification and safety‑related requirements for machine drives is an advantage - Proficient in CAD software and technical calculation tools - Good command of English for technical communication - Strong communication skills, structured working style, and high level of self‑management - Innovative mindset and willingness to explore new technical approaches - Ability to develop solutions with a focus on value analysis, efficiency, and scalability - Willingness to collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners Benefits - Partnership: comprehensive 360 degree support throughout the entire cooperation Project duration: 12 MM Are you a freelancer?
