About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer to design, build, and optimize the backend systems that power a high-performance digital asset trading platform. This role involves close collaboration with technology, trading, operations, and senior leadership teams to deliver scalable, secure, real-time trading solutions. The ideal candidate is experienced in backend development for trading systems, deeply technical, and passionate about building robust infrastructure in the digital asset space. Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, and maintain backend systems and APIs that support high-performance trading operations. - Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate server-side logic and ensure seamless user experiences. - Optimize application performance and scalability to support growing trading volumes and user demand. - Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance backend applications for improved stability and performance. - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices and internal standards. - Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers to support continuous improvement. - Stay current with emerging technologies, digital finance trends, and advancements in blockchain to drive innovation. Requirements - 3+ years of experience in backend development for trading systems or algorithmic trading infrastructure. - Strong expertise with Java 17, Spring, Aeron, PostgreSQL, direct TCP/UDP usage, SBE, REST/WS, FIX, Docker, AWS. - Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases, including data modeling and storage solutions. - Solid understanding of RESTful API development, especially in trading environments. - Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus. - Experience developing secure applications and understanding best practices for digital-asset-related security. - Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong drive to stay at the forefront of backend technology. - Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative, remote team setting.
