What we’re looking for:

As a Python Developer, you will play a key role in developing and testing ServiceTitan Integrations.

Your main activities will include providing daily standups to clients, participating in and providing insights in various meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers, performing updates to projects based on client or product team requirements, setting up project environments, creating project documentation, testing and debugging, deploying projects to staging and production servers, fixing configuration issues, developing and testing Python scripts, performing server issue debugging and updates, and collaborating with the Front-End team to meet project goals and deadlines.

Your expertise in Python programming, web development, and collaboration will contribute to the successful delivery of projects and the achievement of project objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and test ServiceTitan Integrations to facilitate data exchange between different components of the application.
- Ensure API functionality, security, and performance meet the project requirements.
- Provide clients with daily standups and communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress, discuss challenges, and address any questions or concerns.
- Collaborate with the project team to ensure client expectations are met and deliverables are on track.
- Participate in 1 on 1 meetings with managers, clients, Product Owners, and Project Managers to gather requirements, provide updates, and offer insights from a technical perspective.
- Implement requested updates and changes to web projects based on client requirements, input from the Product team, or defined Statement of Work (SOW).
- Ensure that the software solutions meet the specified functionality, performance, and quality standards.
- Contribute to project kickoff meetings by providing technical expertise and insights.
- Collaborate with the team to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Configure and set up the necessary development environment for the project, including tools, frameworks, and dependencies.
- Create comprehensive documentation for projects, including architectural designs, technical specifications, API documentation, and user guides.
- Conduct thorough testing of web applications to identify and document any bugs or issues.
- Deploy and configure web applications on staging servers for testing and quality assurance purposes.
- Coordinate and execute the deployment of web applications to the production environment, following established release processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any configuration issues or server-related problems that arise in the production environment.
- Develop and test Python scripts to automate tasks, enhance application functionality, or support backend processes.
- Optional: UpSkill in related frameworks.

Qualifications:

- Previous working experience as a Python Developer for 5 years.
- Expert in Python, with knowledge of Python web frameworks such as Django and Flask.
- Previous working experience creating ServiceTitan integrations for 3 years.
- Understanding of the threading limitations of Python and multi-process architecture.
- Expert Knowledge on Pytest.
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
- Knowledge of server-side programming languages including .NET, Java, Ruby, and Python.
- Familiarity with DBMS technology, including MongoDB, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL, and caching mechanisms such as Redis, Memcached, and Varnish.
- Knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
- Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.
- Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into one system.
- Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
- Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
- Understanding of fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
- Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.
- Understanding of the differences between multiple delivery platforms, such as mobile vs desktop, and optimizing output to match the specific platform.
- Able to create database schemas that represent and support business processes.
- Strong unit test and debugging skills.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial, or SVN.
