This senior role is central to shaping the long‑term future of the School—ensuring our strategic direction, campus development, and infrastructure decisions are innovative, sustainable, and deeply aligned with our mission of providing outstanding educational experiences. About the Role As the Director of Infrastructure, Development & Strategy, you will be the strategic engine behind the School’s planning, major projects, and asset stewardship. Working closely with the Principal, Executive Leadership Team, and the Infrastructure & Development Committee, you will drive critical decision‑making that influences the School’s growth and future‑readiness. You will oversee Facilities and Maintenance operations and lead the planning and execution of capital works, asset lifecycle management, and campus improvement initiatives. Bringing together a strong strategic mindset with grounded operational awareness, you will ensure the School’s infrastructure is safe, well‑managed, and positioned for long‑term sustainability. Key Responsibilities Strategic Planning & Alignment Lead the School’s long‑term infrastructure, asset, and campus planning. Provide strategic advice, scenario modelling, and investment evaluations to the Principal and Executive Team. Convert organisational priorities into actionable plans and frameworks. Business Analysis & Investment Evaluation Develop robust business cases for capital, operational, and strategic initiatives. Deliver financial, operational, and risk analysis to shape key decision‑making. Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Oversee asset lifecycle planning, maintenance scheduling, and campus development governance. Enhance asset performance and ensure the School derives maximum long‑term value. Operations Leadership Lead and mentor the Facilities and Maintenance teams. Champion risk management, compliance, safety, and best‑practice operations. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with strategic objectives. What You Will Bring You are an experienced executive with deep capability in strategic planning, infrastructure or asset management, and complex project leadership. You bring: - Demonstrated experience in senior strategic, infrastructure, or project management leadership roles. - A minimum of 5-8 years of senior leadership experience in strategic, infrastructure, or project management roles. - Strong financial and business analysis capability, including business case development. - A practical understanding of operational realities in education, government, or service environments. - A collaborative leadership style with strong relationship‑building skills. - The ability to think both strategically and operationally. - A values‑driven approach and alignment to the ethos of St Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls. - A minimum of a bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
