GeoSystems Analysis, Inc., (GSA) a Trinity Consultants team, is seeking an experienced Senior Scientist / Engineer to provide technical leadership in mine closure planning, waste management, cover system design and ecosystem restoration for mining clients in Perú and across Latin America. This full-time position is ideal for a seasoned professional passionate about sustainability and innovation in natural resource management. What will I be doing? - Conduct waste rock and tailings characterization studies. - Design mine waste cover systems and reclamation plans. - Develop revegetation and ecosystem restoration strategies. - Perform water balance and mine waste draindown studies. - Manage surface water and seepage control studies. - Engage with clients, permitting authorities, and community stakeholders. - Support business development through proposal writing and project acquisition. - Mentor and lead technical teams to deliver high-quality solutions. What qualifications are required for this role? - Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD preferred) in a Geoscience, Mining, Civil, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline. - Professional Geoscientist or Professional Engineer registration preferred. - Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in mine closure consulting or related fields. - Proven experience managing multidisciplinary projects. - Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and organizational skills. - Professional-level Spanish and English proficiency. - Ability to travel domestically and internationally and work in remote environments.
