Transport Supervisor – Warehouse Division Join our Team as a Transport Supervisor Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Rapid Haulage, a leader in the logistics industry, is seeking a motivated and hands‑on individual to join our team as a Transport Supervisor within the Warehouse Team. This is a unique opportunity to lead and support our LCL/LTL transport and loading team while overseeing the warehouse logistics process for our regional and local operations. At the same time, with training you’ll assume responsibility for our quarantine wash bay and the variety of equipment we are tasked with handling while protecting the Bio‑Security of the country. About the Role As a Transport Supervisor in the Warehouse Division at Rapid Haulage, you will play a crucial role in supervising the transportation and logistics operations, ensuring accurate dispatch of freight for both regional and local operations including our own fleet and third‑party operators. Your responsibilities will include scheduling and planning daily work activities based on customer requirements and balancing the workload for your team accordingly. What makes this role even more interesting is our involvement in quarantine, bonded storage, and fumigation, along with operating one of Adelaide's largest quarantine wash facilities. This means you'll have ample opportunities to learn and master various aspects of the industry. Key Responsibilities - Supervising and directing both yard and driving personnel, to ensure accurate dispatch and correct loading to avoid damages, with a focus on efficient resource allocation - Scheduling company transport loads and drivers based on customer priorities - Coordinating external transport operators as required, including 3rd party collections - Reviewing operational processes and efficiency, implementing corrective actions through toolbox meetings and retraining - Communicating with customers professionally to ensure the highest levels of service - Developing and maintaining a cohesive team environment by managing, evaluating, training and mentoring transport and yard personnel - Supervise quarantine wash bay facility and staff, as well as supporting DAFF personnel in their inspection processes Qualifications for Success - A clean record that will pass Australian Border Force background checks for a fit and proper person to operate in restricted areas - Experience in a diverse and fast‑paced 3PL transport / warehouse environment - Experience leading a team (even if only small) and demonstrating how you have impacted the performance of people in other roles - Strong transport skills, experience with information systems, critical thinking and excellent written / verbal communication - Forklift license and drivers’ license are essential.
