We at Altair are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and ambitious Head of Early Learning School, who is committed to the highest standards of education and who can demonstrate leadership and management skills compatible with our School’s vision, mission and values.

The School provides quality education aimed at nurturing the development of the whole child concept, whilst emphasizing a solid foundation based on the Peruvian National Curriculum, the Inspired Reggio Emilia Approach and the PYP requirements.

Altair operates the IBO curriculum with the four programmes, PYP, MYP and IBDP.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Early Years specialist to join the senior leadership team to fully support parents, students and staff as they work towards whole school improvement. ROLE SUMMARY

Colegio Altair is strategically located in La Molina, Lima, Peru, and its campus has an area of 15,000 square meters. It is a regular, bilingual and mixed education school. It has the IB Continuum Program accredited for its three programs: PYP (Primary Years Program), MYP (Middle Years Program) and Diploma.

The educational proposal of the School is based on a comprehensive, personalized education with an emphasis not only on academic excellence, but also on sports and cultural areas. It is on the list of the best private schools in Lima, and is part of Inspired, a group of Premium schools worldwide with a presence in 23 countries, with more than 80 schools around the world.

The team of teachers at Colegio Altair is highly qualified to provide an excellent educational service. The Teacher Assistant must be able to work in a team with the teachers of the level showing good social skills. You must have a passion for teaching and a commitment to the comprehensive education of your students. In addition, handle technological tools and an advanced level of English.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. The Head of Early Learning School (ELS) will be responsible for managing all staff programmes, curriculum content and assessment of the school.
2. Support the Principal to lead the school and further develop the already strong provision of the ELS and PYP curriculum.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

1. Recognized teaching qualification (B.Ed. / PGCE or equivalent).
2. Significant knowledge and experience teaching PYP and/or Reggio Emilia Philosophy. Minimum 5 Years Leadership Experience.
3. High expectations of themselves with a professional working ethos and sound early years’ educational philosophy to drive the education agenda.
4. Communication and leadership skills to motivate children, parents, and staff.
