Job Description Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, software or solution specialists responsible for leading pursuits in their assigned focus areas. They collaborate with and support Account Managers, provide specialist expertise within the sales team, drive proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, and use specialized knowledge to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. Responsibilities may include named accounts, designated geography, or single high‑potential competitive accounts. They apply intermediate subject‑matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues, work on moderately complex problems, provide analysis, exercise independent judgment, and make recommendations within established guidelines. Responsibilities - Actively prospect within accounts to discover or cultivate solutions sales opportunities in areas of technical specialty in coordination with the account manager. - Manage sales pipeline. - Formulate and expand solutions to generate additional product or service attachments and upsell revenue. - May also sell through the channel. - Establish a professional, consultative relationship with the client, developing a core understanding of the client’s unique business needs within their industry. - Work with the client at IT management level. - Contribute to building the pipeline by generating leads, referrals, and new customer opportunities within specialty area. - May focus on growing contractual renewals for small‑to‑mid size accounts with limited complexity to higher‑total contract‑value renewals. - Interface with internal and external/industry experts to anticipate customer needs and facilitate solutions development. - Build sales readiness and reduce client learning curve through effective knowledge transfer in area of specialization. Education And Experience Required - University or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, International Business, Business Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Business Administration. - Detailed knowledge of key customer segments and their needs across the assigned product portfolio. - Typically 3–5 years of experience in computing portfolio sales, including solution positioning and customer engagement. - Upper‑intermediate English level, with strong oral and written communication abilities. - Experience using Salesforce for opportunity management and sales reporting. - Solid knowledge of the computing portfolio, with the ability to size, configure, and present end‑to‑end computing solutions to customers. - Proficiency in Excel, including reporting, pivot tables, and data analysis. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong customer relationships. - Power BI knowledge or experience is considered a plus. Knowledge And Skills - In‑depth knowledge of product, service, solution and differentiators between own offerings and competitors. - Applies specialized technical product/service/solution knowledge in working with account teams to screen and prioritize multiple leads for feasibility. - Uses knowledge in specialty and consultative selling skills to proactively help customers with IT business decisions. - Assesses solution feasibility from a technical and business perspective to determine "qualify‑in"/"qualify‑out" status. - Solid communication and presentation skills within IT at the manager level. - Product demonstration, customer training, and product installation skills (for product specialty roles). - Conceptualizes and articulates well‑targeted solutions in area of specialty—from proposal to contract sign‑off. - Has sufficient knowledge about a product, service or solution to qualify a deal. - Negotiates profitable deals to expand opportunities and increase the company’s footprint and revenue. - Opportunity prospecting related to specialty area and in expanding existing client business to generate leads/referrals for the account team. - Maintains knowledge of industry trends, associated solutions, and key partner/ISV solutions. - Regularly uses Siebel to update deal profile and forecast accurately.
