Overview Requisition ID: 291401 - Relocation Authorized: None - Telework Type: Full-Time Office/Project - Work Location: Yanacocha Yanacocha Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Located 800 km northeast of Lima, Peru, Yanacocha is South America’s largest gold mine. The WTP Project consists of two of the largest acid water treatment plants in South America (the West one with capacity of 3,000 m3/hour and the East one with 2,700 m3/hour). Early works are currently being performed on site, preparing the permanent platforms and laydown areas for the East and West plants, in addition to the Class 2 estimate, Level 3 schedule and Execution Plan. Job Summary In this role, you will provide project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination. Your recommendations will ensure field engineering activities operate safely, are complete, and conform to quality standards and project requirements. Major Responsibilities - Directing the activities related to the Construction Engineering of the pipeline discipline. It includes the execution of the design, handling of isometric Drawings, Orthographic, PI&D, Layout, Flowcharts and Standard Drawings, Technical Specifications, Codes and Standards in the installation of pipes, supports, valves, accessories and in-line components. - Facilitating planning construction methods and procedures. - Preparing quantity takeoffs of field purchased material and equipment. - Verifying commodities on quantity tracking systems or other computer database systems as required. - Ensuring zero accident philosophy and requirements are implemented and adhered to by craft and others when in the operational area, and tools and equipment are in safe condition and operated safely. - Proactively considering continuous learning or show interest to pursue appropriate learning activities. - Developing, reviewing, approving and executing the piping system test packages. - Carrying out the supervision, execution and verification of the tests and inspections of the Quality Control, protocolization, quality dossier in the discipline of pipes during the construction stage. Education And Experience Requirements Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience. Required Knowledge And Skills - Prior experience supervising and/or administering subcontractors. - Technical knowledge of a specialized engineering discipline relating to the construction of heavy industrial or commercial complexes. - Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to area of responsibility. - Familiar with Bechtel’s Business Ethics handbook and policies. - Knowledge of Bechtel’s “Zero Accidents” safety program. - Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications in accordance with current Bechtel Standard Application Program (BSAP) standards. - Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor’s responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. - Demonstrated leadership in a team-based environment.
