Job Title: Title III Research Analyst

Salary Range: $45,000 - $48,000

Location: Lima, OH

Institution: Rhodes State College

Reports to: Vice President of Institutional Effectiveness Planning

Remote Work: In person upon hiring, hybrid option available post training

The Research Analyst is a grant-funded position that supports Title III initiatives through the collection, tracking, analysis, evaluation, and visualization of data for decision-making and reporting grant project goals. The Research Analyst will work as part of the Rhodes State College Institutional Research (IR) team to develop and maintain data dashboards/visualizations, assist with data requests as needed, and create other data-informed materials which augment the availability, accessibility, and use of resources.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

- Serve as a member of the Title III Grant core team, including attending regular meetings and providing data for grant activities;
- Interpret internal and external data dashboards and other data visualizations related to project activities;
- Coordinate the gathering and analysis of data for the purposes of grant reporting and compliance;
- Assist with management of multiple databases;
- Co-create professional development opportunities for faculty and staff to cover requesting, interpreting, and utilizing institutional data;
- Create reports related to Title III that summarize data using clear and concise charts and tables;
- Maintain a secure data environment, and ensure confidentiality of information secured and controlled by Institutional Research;
- Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements:

- Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and an advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.
- Experience in writing functional specifications and documentation.
- Responsive to data needs and have the ability to effectively organize projects.
- Detail-oriented, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and continuous improvement.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Self-motivated, collaborative, and possess good interpersonal skills.
- Experience with the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data for reporting and decision-making, survey design, and analysis of results.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Use of MS SQL Management Studio.
- Working knowledge of relational database technology, data mining, and higher education administrative systems; experience with Ellucian Banner and Tableau a plus.
- Experience in higher education, with the National Student Clearinghouse, use of StudentTracker, and reporting to the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS).
