General Manager - Oceania Huhtamaki Group is headquartered in Finland, with over a 100‑year old history. In Australia and New Zealand, a major part of the business is focused on foodservice packaging which includes solutions for quick service and fast food / casual restaurants, coffee shops and cafeterias, convenience stores and food and beverage manufacturers. Products include paper straws, cups, plates, bowls, cartons, boxes, trays, containers, and lids, amongst other applications. Sustainability is an key focus of the organisation, integrating environmental protection, social equity, and economic efficiency. Their objective is to develop more sustainable packaging solutions wherever they can to meet customer demand for environmentally optimal packaging. The Role - Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Asia Pacific (based in China), you will be a member of the APAC Executive Team, responsible for commercial, operational and financial performance (complete P&L). - With a significant team and people agenda, you will lead a team of 200+ across sales, marketing, supply chain, finance, sourcing and HR across ANZ, building a high‑performance culture grounded in Huhtamaki values: Care, Dare, Deliver. - This role requires a significant commercial slant, driving innovation across new products and markets, staying close to industry, customer and channel trends and requirements, and influencing change. - The leader of this business will also champion best‑practice customer, channel and account management – across the foodservice, OOH and FMCG/ Retail space. In addition, running efficient operations, warehousing and optimised supply chain is incredibly important. About You - The ideal candidate for this role will have considerable experience at the GM/MD/Commercial Director level with a background in B2B/FMCG, or similar manufacturing/ customer‑led environments. - This individual will also be enthusiastic about driving business development and innovations; driving growth and market share. - Sharp commercial acumen with a strong record of P&L improvement (growth focused but cost aware) along with a track record of leading, motivating and developing high‑performance teams. - The desire to progress your career with Huhtamaki beyond ANZ to a regional / global level will also be discussed as this appointment will add to their executive talent bench.
