Learn more to see if Skillz is the right fit for your next career move Job Description As a Lead Frontend Engineer, you will take ownership of consumer feature development across our React Native-based SDK, which powers 100+ games on the Skillz platform. You’ll be responsible for setting the technical direction, guiding the team through planning and delivery, and ensuring our mobile SDK delivers seamless, high-impact user experiences across iOS, Android, and Web. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain cross-platform mobile features using React Native, with direct impact across the entire Skillz game catalog. - Lead technical execution of consumer product initiatives from conception to release. - Translate product requirements into technical tasks and implementation plans for the team. - Collaborate with QA to design robust test plans and deliver stable, bug-free releases. - Own architectural decisions for the frontend SDK and help shape long-term technical strategy. - Improve developer velocity by enhancing tooling, CI/CD workflows, and team processes. - Work onsite 5 days/week at our Las Vegas, Nevada headquarters. Experience - 6+ years of professional experience in mobile or cross-platform development. - 5+ years specifically using React Native, with a strong grasp of JavaScript/TypeScript. - Proficiency in native mobile development (Kotlin, Java, Swift, or Objective-C). - Proven track record of delivering consumer-facing mobile products end to end. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience. Nice to Have - Experience working with Unity or other game engines. - Deeper familiarity with native iOS or Android ecosystems, SDK integration, or game development workflows.
