Job Summary: The company fastest-growing franchisor of non-medical in-home care is expanding its Finance team with the addition of an Accounting Clerk. Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance, this role ensures that all transactions are accurate, timely, and handled in accordance with all company policies and procedures and state and federal guidelines. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for performing various accounting and clerical tasks in support of the financial operations of our organization.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of accounting principles, excellent data entry abilities, a keen eye for accuracy, and stellar customer support skills. The Accounting Clerk role is a remote full-time position with a corporate office based in Tempe, AZ. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Arizona time.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Customer/Franchise Partner Support: Monitor incoming accounting and finance requests from Franchise Partners, via phone and email. Communicate and work with Franchise Partners to answer accounting related questions or concerns. Escalate questions as more complex issues arise and work with all parties involved to ensure prompt resolution.
2. Accounting Support: Communicate with vendors on payment status, inquiries, and requests for invoice copies. Maintain detailed documentation in system(s) of follow-up and related internal and external correspondence. Escalate issues related to invoices and work with all parties involved to ensure prompt resolution. Coordinate special projects and assignments as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Attend scheduled virtual meetings and SYNERGY HomeCare University training.
Required Skills/Abilities:
1. Proficiency in using accounting software, such as QuickBooks is a plus.
2. Experience in G-Suite (Including Docs, Sheets, Email, Calendar & Drive).

Education and Experience:
AS/AA degree in accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 2 years of accounting/finance work experience.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
