Financial Controller

Job Overview Leading the Finance and Administration teams, you will oversee the operational finance function and maintain a focus on continuous improvement of processes and systems, whilst delivering positive outcomes for business leaders. Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Automotive Financial Controller to lead the accounting functions for one of our largest dealership groups. This is an impressive career move for the right individual. Work across multiple brands, stakeholders and departments, reporting directly to the Group General Manager / Dealer Principal. Responsibilities - Manage the financial and administrative affairs of the dealership. - Provide advice, guidance and support on all financial, operational, and administrative issues whilst being a key member of the Senior Management team of the dealership. - Produce accurate and timely results and accounts for corporate accounting purposes in accordance with Company deadlines and policies. - Responsible for the submission of all major financial management reports. - Manage compliance with the dealership’s internal accounting policies, including Audit and Tax compliance – BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax, Income Tax. - Ensure control framework is documented and implemented, with risks identified and mitigating controls in place and executed. - Oversee and manage the financial well‑being of the Group and be accountable for the integrity of the balance sheet. - Ensure all statutory returns are prepared and assist the Dealer Principal with the administration of the site. - People Leadership (direct and indirect reports) in a manner consistent with the core values and standards employed across the EA Group. Qualifications - Commercial acumen to ensure decision making drives performance in line with the Group’s expectations. - Experience within the Automotive industry. - Tertiary accounting qualifications. - Professional membership (CA or CPA) desirable. - Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior finance position (Finance Manager or Financial Controller). - Proven experience managing and leading accounts and administration teams.
