Senior Data Scientist at BairesDev
We are looking for an outstanding Senior Data Scientist to join BairesDev’s Research & Development Team (R&D). This professional will be responsible for using data and machine learning techniques to help the business automate and scale decision making, mainly by producing advanced data analysis reports and data-based models to infer and predict patterns.
What You’ll Do:
1. Help to improve data literacy and the overall analytical environment across the company.
2. Handle both structured and unstructured data using SQL and other programming languages.
3. Perform advanced data analysis and report results.
4. Tell the story behind data in a compelling manner for business people.
5. Build predictive models and machine-learning algorithms.
6. Combine models through ensemble modeling.
7. Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges.
8. Help to design and execute experiments for hypothesis testing.
9. Participate actively in discussions and decisions regarding the whole Data Science chapter.
10. Collaborate with data product managers to build awesome data products.
11. Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
12. Help to spread a data-driven mindset and improve data literacy. Be a data evangelist.
Here’s what we are looking for:
1. 3+ years of experience with data science, machine learning, IA, statistical, and other related areas.
2. Proficiency with SQL.
3. Proficiency in Python, R, or another major programming language.
4. Excellent communication skills, capacity to collaborate and build relationships with non-technical users.
5. Strong knowledge of probability and statistics that may include experimental design, predictive modeling, optimization, and causal inference.
6. Hands-on experience with machine learning, like regression classification, clustering, neural networks, feature selection, cross-validation, curse of dimensionality, bias-variance tradeoff, model explainability, NLP, etc.
Desirable:
1. Experience with people analytics or growth.
2. Experience with data visualization tools.
3. Good understanding of the engineering challenges to deploy machine learning systems to production.
