The Job Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our talent network and connect with U.S. clients for flexible, project-based development work as an Accessibility Specialist. As an Accessibility Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our clients' software applications are accessible to people with disabilities.

Responsibilities
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience working as an accessibility professional.
  • Advanced English language skills are required.
  • Successful completion of a four-year college degree is essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in assistive technologies including JAWS, NVDA, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
  • Strong background in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and ARIA for accessibility remediation and implementation.
  • Experience working with design systems in Figma and HTML/CSS to create accessible UI components.
  • Familiarity with accessibility regulations: Section 508, ADA, AODA, and EN 301 549.
  • Knowledge of document accessibility and PDF remediation.
  • Ability to work through new and complex issues and contribute to libraries as needed.
  • Ability to create and maintain continuous integration and delivery of applications.
  • Attention to detail.
  • A positive mindset and a can-do attitude.
  • Experience working on Agile / Scrum teams.
  • Meaningful experience working on large, complex systems.
  • Ability to take ownership over your work.
  • Ability to identify with the goals of FullStack's clients, and dedicate yourself to delivering on the commitments you and your team make to them.
  • Ability to consistently work 40 hours per week.
