Senior Software Engineer (NodeJS) Opportunity

 Tech9 is a global software development firm that delivers technology solutions to improve business outcomes. We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer (NodeJS) to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining efficient and scalable web applications using Node.js and React.js. Key activities include providing daily updates to clients, participating in meetings with managers and clients, performing project updates based on client or product team requirements, contributing to project kickoff meetings, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and upskilling in front-end related frameworks.

This role requires expertise in Node.js, React.js, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver projects successfully. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of asynchronous programming, server-side templating languages, and front-end technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide regular progress updates to clients.
  • Communicate with clients to address questions, concerns, and project challenges.
  • Collaborate with the project team to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Participate in meetings with managers, clients, and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide technical insights.
  • Implement requested project updates and changes based on client requirements and project plans.
  • Ensure delivered software solutions meet specified functionality, performance, and quality standards.
  • Contribute to project kickoff meetings by providing technical expertise and insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and achieve project goals and deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Node and React Developer.
  • Experience with AWS, preferably with certification.
  • Knowledge of Node.js and popular frameworks such as Express or StrongLoop.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks.
  • Good understanding of server-side templating languages like Jade or EJS.
  • Basic understanding of front-end technologies like HTML5 and CSS3.
  • Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.
  • User authentication and authorization between systems and environments.
  • Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Optimizing output for different delivery platforms like mobile and desktop.
  • Creating database schemas that support business processes.
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.

 

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
