About the Role

The Maintenance & Engineering Supervisor position plays a vital part in the plant's success by providing maintenance leadership for the operation. Key responsibilities include ensuring cost efficiency, driving continuous improvement of processes, and prioritizing safety across an entire business unit on shift.

As a leader, you will oversee a team of frontline employees within the maintenance department (mechanics/technicians) to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure equipment reliability to maximize production line productivity.
  • Develop strategies for reliability that enhance maintenance and technician capabilities.
  • Promote process improvements to drive package and flavor changeover efficiency.
  • Foster visual factory concepts to improve asset utilization and plant performance.
  • Track standard manufacturing and warehouse metrics to identify plant maintenance opportunities.
  • Optimize Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) usage.
  • Build a team to address day-to-day operational issues and set short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Effectively implement business changes while minimizing people impact.
  • Cross-functionally collaborate to help teams solve operational issues.
  • Develop people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly personnel.
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals.
  • Implement policies and procedures.
  • Achieve regular and predictable attendance at the work site.
  • Prioritize work requests.
  • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, lifting up to 40 lbs occasionally, operating forklifts and manufacturing equipment, and occasional work in poor weather conditions.
  • This role may involve off-shift and weekend work.
