As a key member of the adidas team, you will play a vital role in shaping the company's risk management strategy. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of business processes across various departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. You will lead initiatives focused on improving process efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness, working closely with senior management to identify opportunities for improvement and implementing sustainable solutions.
  2. Ensure compliance with external laws, internal regulations, and Group Internal Control frameworks, as well as best practices and policies.
  3. Protect company assets, including physical stock, cash, and other valuable resources, by identifying and mitigating risks associated with dishonesty, procedural failure, administrative errors, and wastage.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to utilize your functional expertise in supporting senior leaders and driving business growth.

Policies & Procedures Awareness and Processes Improvement:

  1. Raise awareness and maintain knowledge of global, market, and local policies and procedures through regular training at the local level.
  2. Design, develop, implement, and regularly update local policies (based on global/market policies if existing), procedures, and related internal controls, adhering to best practices and Group requirements.
  3. Develop, support, and lead initiatives/projects focused on improving the efficiency, transparency, and effectiveness of business processes, both locally and regionally.

Reporting:

  1. Produce IC&RP monthly reports to provide visibility to local senior management regarding risk, findings, and opportunities (e.g., abnormal transaction analysis, shrinkage data, incident control deficiencies).
  2. Communicate major control deficiencies immediately to LAM.
  3. Conduct retail investigations and complete timely reports/findings to relevant stakeholders utilizing the Resolver platform.
  4. Coordinate the local bi-annual Representation Letter process in a timely manner.
  5. Participate in the Global/Market ICS network, including ICS calls, WebEx sessions, conferences, and sharing of best practices.

Leadership & People Management (if applicable):

  1. Develop leadership skills by identifying opportunities to grow and exemplifying Leadership Framework behaviors.
  2. Nurture a strong network of peers within the function and other levels.
  3. Manage, motivate, and develop subordinate employees in line with their individual development goals (for People managers).

Key Relationships:

Local: General Manager, Finance Director, Heads of Departments, and Process Owners.

Market: LAM IC&RP Director, IC&RP Partners in the region and globally.

Group: Group Policies & Internal Controls, Group Internal Audit, Group Risk & Compliance Management, Global Profit Protection, GBS, and Cross-functional process owners.

External auditors.

  • Strong auditing/internal control skills and process improvement experience are essential for this role.

Requisite Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in similar roles, preferably with international exposure.
  • International experience and a track record in similar disciplines are highly valued.
  • Familiarity with project management and ERP systems such as SAP, MicroStrategy is required.
  • Fluency in English is a must, with proficiency in additional languages being an asset.
