About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize our database systems. This is a part-time role that requires 10-20 hours of work per week for a duration of 3 weeks.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, as well as experience in database tuning and optimization. They should also have familiarity with cloud-based solutions, such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, and Google Cloud SQL.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. If you are a motivated professional with a passion for database administration, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design, install, configure, and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases
* Monitor, index, optimize queries, and manage storage
* Ensure data security and regulatory compliance
* Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans
* Work closely with developers to optimize database interactions
* Implement scripts for routine database tasks
* Create database guidelines and best practices

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
* 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
* Strong knowledge of SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra)
* Experience in database tuning and optimization
* Familiarity with cloud-based solutions (AWS RDS, Azure SQL, Google Cloud SQL)
* Understanding of data security best practices and compliance standards
* Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
* Experience with database monitoring and management tools
* Intermediate English for effective communication
