What Does This Role Hold for You?

  • Create high-performance web applications for desktop and mobile devices.
  • Design and develop elegant, maintainable, and testable solutions to complex technical problems.
  • Integrate third-party platforms and services to enhance application functionality.
  • Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks to optimize backend and frontend infrastructure.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share software development best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions that support medical providers and enhance the care experience.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and offer creative solutions to business challenges.

Responsibilities

  1. Leverage expertise to build highly interactive web-based application UIs that scale with application complexity.
  2. Collaborate with a blended team of onshore and offshore engineers to produce well-structured, reliable, efficient, and maintainable code.
  3. Gain a deep understanding of the product and business goals to inform technical decisions.
  4. Perform code reviews and use continuous integration to deliver high-quality software.
  5. Apply agile principles to encourage collaboration, prioritization, and urgency in software development.
  6. Identify gaps or deficiencies in existing products or processes and advocate for necessary changes.
  7. Learn and master new technologies to offer technical direction and creative solutions.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of full stack experience developing performant, scalable, web-based applications in Ruby on Rails and React.
  • Proven track record of leading and/or managing remote teams.
  • Experience delivering and supporting commercial enterprise software.
  • Extensive full stack development experience with proficiency in a modern programming language (e.g., Ruby, Java, TypeScript).
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated individual able to thrive in a schedule-driven environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and practical experience building RESTful microservices.
  • Good understanding of system architecture and time-complexity trade-offs.
