Are you interested in providing communication support to an international development organization who works with strong and diverse partners that promote women´s and LGTBQ2IA+ rights to advance gender equality in Peru? If your answer is yes, this job is for you

As a Communications advisor you will develop and implement communications strategies and tools for the RWVL project of Cuso International in Peru, as well as create high-quality and powerful communications materials (e.g. specific print and digital communications materials) to effectively capture and demonstrate the impact, value and best practices generated by the project and its partners. Support the team in the documentation and dissemination of project. In this role you will support the work of the RWVL team, under the overall guidance of the RWVL Program Manager and Country Representative.

If you are a great interviewer, a keen listener, expert managing digital platforms, love to take pictures, make videos and posters, and use your excellent writing skills to tell success stories this is a great opportunity for you

**As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include**:

- Study the RWVL Communications strategy, implementing partner organizations, and volunteer placements and create
- Support the development of high-quality, enticing and powerful print and digital WVL project communications materials (written, video, web, etc.) making sure GAC and Cuso communications guidelines are followed.
- Support the development of a pluralist digital platform to disseminate the woman rights in Peru
- Additional tasks may be assigned from time to time

**Essential Requirements**:

- Degree in journalism, communications, political science, graphic design

**Essential Background**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience working in Latin America as videographer, web design, communications advisor, graphic design etc.
- Research and interviewing
- Skills graphic design software, office suite, video editing
- Good interpersonal and intercultural skills
- Ability to communicate clearly to a wide range of audiences and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks to meet
- deadlines
- Creativity, sound judgement and ability to work both independently and as part of a team

**Project - Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE)**

Cuso International will deliver the Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (SHARE) project, with a contribution from Global Affairs Canada (GAC) over seven years (2020-2027). SHARE aims to improve the economic and/or social well-being of the poorest, most marginalized and vulnerable people, particularly women and girls, in developing countries, to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals. In addition to increasing the engagement of Canadians in international development and key global issues, this project will aim to increase the performance of country partners to deliver more inclusive, innovative and environmentally sustainable development initiatives that advance gender equality, in support of the action areas of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy.

**Terms and Conditions**:
Cuso International's terms and conditions allow you to lead a modest and healthy lifestyle similar to local living standards. This support package will cover basic living expenses for one volunteer and is not intended to cover home-based expenses (eg. loans, support payments, etc.) or luxury items such as imported items in placement or international personal travel.
