**Senior Technical Specialist**:

As a Senior Technical Specialist, you will be a vital member of the engineering team in the Process Automation Business in Peru, consulting on technical solutions, approving assignments, and overseeing timely completion to high standards. In this role, you will head up medium-complexity consulting assignments and assist in developing consultancy products and services, and in contract management activities to ensure delivery of assignments.

**This position reports to**:
Engineering Manager

**Your responsibilities**:

- Executes winding tasks for new GMD installations, upgrade and retrofit pro-jects. Participates in GMD maintenance activities.
- Repairs GMD ringmotor in case of failure. Applies permanent or temporary solutions as recommended by ABB factory. Supports GMD inspections and electrical tests.
- Provides technical support and collaborate with other technical teams.
- Coordinates, prepares and ensures that all resources are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
- Prepares and fills test protocols as required by assigned tasks. Prepares all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative.
- Applies safety rules and safe practices as well as environmental responsibilities. Prepares project/service specific safety documentation.
- Proactively identifies potential equipment failures and requests proactive corrective actions.

**Your background**:

- 8 years of experience in related positions (motors and generators / Workshop).
- Technical studies in Industrial Electricity.
- Knowledge in winding in motor, generators and GMD ringmotors.
- GMD ringmotor knowledge.
- GMD ringmotor repair and jumper installations.
- Safety training.
- A high level of self-motivation, curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies
- Demonstrated management capabilities, with a collaborative, solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills
- Basic or intermediate English (desirable).
