**WHAT WE CAN ACHIEVE TOGETHER**:
**The Communications Specialist** leads TNC Peru’s communication and media initiatives. She/He strategizes, coordinates, and implements communications projects aligned with the Conservation Program and regional goals. She/He manages and implements focused communication and/or media tactics that facilitates comprehension, adoption and advancement of the organization’s goals and objectives, focusing on the work of TNC’s Peru Program. She/He helps develop content, including speeches, key messages and talking points, as needed. She/He suggests and updates content for TNC Peru’s website, both in Spanish and English, and manages TNC Peru’s social media networks for community relations together with the regional and/or global office. She/He implements the design and production of a diverse range of communication projects and materials while maintaining consistent visual image and writing style. Research, write and distribute a wide variety of communication materials including but not limited to: op-eds, news releases, fact sheets, web articles, and blog posts. **The Communications Specialist **helps facilitate on-going communication between all parts of the TNC global and regional communications and marketing network, internal and external stakeholders, and identifies communication and media needs and opportunities, both traditional and virtual. She/He identifies target audiences and cultivates media contacts on a local and national level. Manages communication campaigns and supports Program’s fundraising processes with digital and communications content. She/He may develop and foster relationships with internal and external partners. She/He may solicit and secure project bids and negotiate contracts, and work with outside vendors to manage production schedules and procedures. She/He is responsible and accountable for said projects. She/He interprets and administers documentation/communication and marketing policies and procedures. She/He exercises quality control over documents intended for external distribution.

**WHAT YOU'LL BRING**:
**Minimum Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and a minimum of 5 years’ related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated ability to conceive and produce creatively for various audiences from technical information.
- Experience organizing and coordinating multiple communications and marketing projects.
- Experience with design and production of communication and marketing products.
- Experience writing, editing, and proofreading in Spanish and English.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment with internal and external partners.

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Multi-lingual skills appreciated.
- Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
- Experience implementing and measuring communication and engagement plans/strategies.
- Experience developing media relations networks.
- Familiarity with communication technologies and best practices
