Are you ready to take on one of the most ambitious mine closure projects in the global mining industry?
What You’ll Do
- Experience leading mine closure and water management strategies, including major closure plans and readiness for water treatment plants, while driving sustainability, exploring revenue opportunities like secondary recovery initiatives
- Successful people and stakeholder management, with a focus on government and communities, fostering productive cross-functional alliances, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven ability to foster a culture of performance and innovation by implementing advanced work processes, leveraging data, analytics, and modeling, and driving the adoption of new technologies to achieve closure excellence.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Degree in Engineering (e.g. Mining, Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Civil), Geology, or Environmental Management
- Experience: Direct experience in large mine closure planning and execution and in mine site water management
- Skills: People and stakeholder management with a specific focus on government and communities, language proficiency in Spanish and English, Project Management fundamentals
- Knowledge: Key value drivers across full value chain (Endowment, Geosciences, Mine Planning, Extraction, Processing, Asset Strategy) and interdependence of key levers, ESG requirements, new technologies and impact on operational and closure activities
Working Conditions and Location
Mobility - residential in Cajarmarca (preferred); rotational (6x3) could be considered
