The Museum is in search of a Manager, Digital Product to establish and lead our digital product team, identifying opportunities to communicate Australian history to our audiences and craft best in class digital experiences.
**Objectives of this role**:
- Establish the process to rationalise digital products to a unified content management system (CMS) and develop a Museum design system.
- Establish and embed product strategies and methodologies to build best-in-class digital products.
- Draft a product vision and product roadmap to support the delivery of the Museum’s Digital Master Plan.
- Establish an ongoing approach to user research and quantitative research, compiling and sharing regular insights to inform digital and content design.
- Partner with product owners to manage the roadmap and backlog for all digital products, ensuring work is prioritised against audience needs.
- Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritisation.
- Work with marketing to develop positioning and messaging and ensure differentiation from competitors.
- Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD).
- Oversee the life cycle management of digital products to ensure they remain current, including remediations and replacements.
They will be experienced in implementing product management processes, methodology and tools, as well as championing audience-led design across the Museum. They will have strong technical, analytical, prioritisation and negotiating skills, and will be experienced in accessible design, usability and customer-focused design.
The role will be outcomes driven and future-focused with a proven interest in working in a dynamic digital environment and with a strong range of digital skills and experience.
Preferred skills and qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in digital technologies, interaction design, business, computer science, information systems or related field. Literacy with back-end and front-end programming languages such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
