The Opportunity:
The Sr. Java Software Engineer participates in new developments, maintenance, and production support. Is responsible for delivering accurate, innovative, and low-defect software solutions. Is capable of debug and resolve problems of broad scope with limited assistance. Furthermore, will participate in the technical design decisions at the team level.

Your Responsibilities:

- Work on new and existing software changes, as part of a collaborative Scrum team.
- Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies.
- Participate in systems and solutions design.
- Investigate and resolve bugs.
- Design efficient data organization and access including SQL queries.
- Assist in troubleshooting system issues.
- Ensure best practices and coding standards and participate in code reviews.
- Involved in estimating scope of work.
- Contribute to architectural decisions
- Understands scalable software performance and operability.

Skills we need:

- Technical or bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software Engineering, or another industry related career.
- At least upper intermediate English.
- Solid experience working with Java 8 or above.
- Further experience with other programming languages: Java, PL/SQL, JavaScript and SQL ANSI.
- Proficient with frameworks Spring and ReactJS (or equivalent JavaScript framework).
- Experience with other technologies like Docker, Servlets, JMS and Tomcat.
- Proficient with Oracle database.
- Further experience with MariaDB, MongoDB or equivalent non-relational database engines.
- Experience with other CI tools.
- Source control experience using Git.
- Static code analysis experience with tools such as SonarQube.
- Agile experience (Scrum or others).
- Ideal experience with microservices architecture pattern.
